Duduma Waterfall - The Beauty of Odisha (Jeypore)

Duduma Waterfall is one of the most significant waterfalls in Odisha. One of the Largest waterfalls and largest Electricity producers of Odisha is located in South Odisha.

 Machkund power project capacity is 120 MW. This Hydro Electric Project helps all over Southern Odisha with the supply of Power.

Duduma waterfall is about 547 ft high, which formed the "Machkund River." Using the Machkund River, a large hydroelectric project started at "Machkund Hydro Electric Power Project," located at Onukudeli.

This place is mainly famous for its realistic view and viewpoint. The complete picture of the Duduma waterfall is not visible from this perspective. You have to trek down to see the comprehensive view of this waterfall. The "Machkund" name is derived from the word "Matsya Kunda," a pilgrimage area in Paderu, Andhra Pradesh.

Duduma Waterfall is based on the hills of Machkund. So this area is famous for "Tribal people and Tribal culture," or you can say this area is situated in the area of "BONDA" tribes. So Foreigner attracts to this place only because of Tribal culture. Every Sunday, a tribal market is displayed here, known as "HAT PODA."

You can go by private taxi. If you are traveling from Jeypore then take the road towards Lamataput from Lamataput to Machkund is 21 km and after reaching Machkund it is 6.4 km to reach Duduma waterfall.

• To visit the power station you need to take permission from the Machkund police station for that you need to fill out the form and give all details of your vehicle then go towards the Duduma waterfall.
