Saptasajya Located:

Saptasajya could be a traveller place situated in the Dhenkanal district, illustrious for its picnic spot.
People from outside Odisha and outside the country always visit this place.

Saptasajya is known at the time of Ram Navami. Saptasajya waterfall is a known attraction for all travelers.

History of Saptasajya:

Saptasajya is famous for its ancient history. That “Saptarishi” had their Ashram at this place. It is popularly called “seven beds.” Someone says that God Shree Ram stays at Saptasajya during exile (vanavasa) for seven days. Someone also said that Pandavas spent some days of their Incognito life (Agyatvas) at this place.

Saptasajya is famous for the Raghunath temple built by the King of Dhenkanal Sri Shankar Pratap Mahindra Bahadur and Smt Ratna Prava Devi in 1956.

Saptasajya is a small village near Dhenkanal, 75 km from Bhubaneswar (Via Mundali) and 10 km from Dhenkanal.
